Like A Lament *****
Like A Lament
The moonlight kisses him, so beautiful
Shedding, light upon his eyes
Waiting, by the riverside, beneath the bridge
Won't be surprised, gazing upon his skies
Glistening, starlight in his eyes
Seeing beyond, his universe, trying...
Walking by the moonlight, seeing feeling
The delights, of such a night
And the moon, beaming at half light
Just enough to see, He standing in silhouette
Shadows trembled, in the darkness of the night
foreboding...
He stood by, the old ruins and, stared
A velvety darkness, engulfing him
All around him whisperings
Like a lament!
Amongst the ruins, red dust, a trapped soul
Whisperings, between the trees,
A soul lost so, lost the old, temple
The gateways, trapped, irrevocably
Forever in a dream!!
All alone sitting only thought, in his mind
Writing, his words, his phrases
His ambiguous words, his verses of poetry!
Yesterday's words, of yesteryear
Solitude engulfing him...
Shadows all around
Surrounding him, darkness on his, mind
Between shadows and the light
Residing, within...
Whispering, to them, O' restless shadows
Be at peace, won't you!
For am not about to disturb you, your world
But to write my words, my words in solitude
Words phrases verses, recited lyrically
By the poet, residing within me...
