In a Labyrinth...
In a Labyrinth
Between the shadows, I have walked alone
Retreating from my world the only one I've known
Through the darkness meandering into the night
In our minds we have lived like strangers smiling wryly
Wandering through the woods one more time
Beyond that bridge crossing so far the changing lights
Illuminating not my way the moonless night
It was a cold, cold night...
Freezing my breath as I exhaled
Through those woods so eerily enchanted
Feeling uneasy taking to my heels running through my city.
Staring so keenly those that knew me not
Whenever I came their way
As if, a phantom was I like a bride floatingly by
Staring at me I would see their eyes following me
Inexplicably.
His caresses his kisses,
My mind's refusing to stay.
Contain my mind will not whatever they may say
The magical, magic within us
That once upon a time was part of us...
So eagerly our hands our eyes,
Like glowing embers the fire within us
In the darkness of our nights
Only the moon at half light dispersing from my eyes
We only had the night to caress us by...
The sound of those bells pealing away
Like a lullaby unsung amongst us
The feeling that we kissed,
Kissed by the moon at half-light...
In a gossamer cloud framed by a kiss,
Kissing you...
Amusement in my mind as you came by
Embracing, our eyes taking thirsty sip's
As unfocused my mind irrevocably became
Bewitching wondrous sounds those bells pealing
In the distance like drums
Intoxicating!
Written many moons, gone by
In the lateness of the day the curtained room the bed white!
The scented room & she!
Awaiting her man she'll be with a closed mind...
Anticipating
In that moment of madness the light in his eyes
As she sees him nonchalantly coming her way...
In a labyrinth...
His body like a map the untraceable lines I've traced
The purest lines you'll ever come by...
