It's Beyond Me

The eyes see only what we want
They can not speak
Like that thunder over the hills far away
Am a woman that walks alone
Without, experience of the world
Might as well be a child in all innocence
But a child does not kiss your shadowAs we dance hand in hand in the street
Interlocking our hands as if we never let go
Stay as we are now !
Why, waste time sleeping you'll be leaving in the morning
And I'll be left weeping
We'll share the agony the sorrow
Immersing in the laughter for the here and now
For when you've gone
I'll be in the grips of melancholy hereafter
As I reach helplessly for that star scintillating way above
With feeling's of emptiness forever in my heart
When I kiss your eyes your lips
Kissing your fingertips
For I know you'll be gone far from me
When midnight toll's away what will I do
When you're not there, as I reach out for you.
I sleep awake sleep awake in the thunder of the night
My whole being trembles like the trees in the forest
As they sway & dance in the moonlight breeze
Leaving me all alone!
As you've done without a thought in the world
I shouldn't have said that I loved you
In between that hill that mountain high
What was said between you and me!
The moon in her fullness trailing you
Has brought you close so close to me
To hold you to feel you in my arms
Feeling you close to me, ahh!
The hungry kisses
Brought us to an impasse
The poetry that goes between you & me
As we embrace we have hunger in our eyes
It's beyond me!
This thing between you & me
Hurt feelings as you ignore me
For am human with feelings too
I can love-hate just like you
But as we clash interlocking arms
Coming in from the storm
Touching your face kissing your eyes
Constricting my breathing...
Feeling love in my heart,
Your killing me my darling
With your verses of love
